Thank you for choosing Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC to help you further your riding goals. We are excited to work with you! Please take a moment to give us your information, agree to our terms and conditions, and complete our rider release form.

This Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC Agreement (hereafter “Agreement”) is entered into by and between Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC (hereafter “Stable”),  and

(hereafter “Student”), whose address and contact information is as follows:

Parent/Guardian Must Complete the Following if Student is a Minor:

The Client and Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC agree as follows:

1.The Services.

  1. Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC will provide client with access to two riding/driving lessons per week, and one unmounted group horsemanship class per month (see Section 4.B).  The riding/driving lessons will either be a 30 minute private or 1 hour group of  3 or more.  Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC will be closed 5-6 weeks per year to give the lesson horses a break, allow students to compete at horse shows and not to miss lessons, to run special events, and even to give riding instructors a break. The weeks that are off will be communicated via the clients only Facebook group and/or text.

  2. Clients will be grouped together with a group of 3 or more. We will attempt to group riders together with those of similar ability and level if scheduling allows.

  3. Clients  will start with a 30 minute private lesson. As the rider progresses and gains confidence and competence, the master instructor will determine when it's appropriate to transition to semi-private or group lessons. This decision is typically based on the rider's ability to handle the dynamics of a larger class setting while still receiving valuable feedback and instruction.

  4. Clients will receive access to a 30 minute goal setting session every quarter.

2. Student Requirements.

Student agrees to follow all Barn Rules as follow:

  • Courtesy is expected and manners are required. Help us make the farm a fun, friendly and supportive environment for all!  Be nice to others, both people and horses, NO exceptions.

  • All riders or persons on the property must sign a release before riding and/or interacting with any horse in any way. Students/Student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) are responsible for having all guests sign releases when they arrive on the property. Liability releases are available in the tack room or you can see me, Catherine Talbert.

  • Client must be wearing proper riding attire- boots with heels, an ASTM/ SEI certified riding helmet, and long pants. No high ponytails or hairstyles that will affect your helmet fit!

  • Client must be coachable, positive, and have a good attitude!

  • Client and their guests agree there will be no cussing, swearing, or taking God’s name in vain while on the property or when affiliated with Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC at events.

  • Client and their guests will not smoke or bring alcohol onto the property.

  • Client and their guests will not bring personal pets without prior permission.

  • Client and their guests agree to not chase the chickens and to prevent their children from doing so.

  • Client will clean and sweep the crosstie mats at the end of your lesson.

  • Absolutely no bullying, gossiping, or unkind behavior (to people or animals)

  • An ASTM-SEI certified helmet must be worn at ALL times when mounted on a horse. No exceptions.

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

  • Appropriate footwear MUST be worn around horses and when handling them, no sandals or flip flops in the barn. NO exceptions.

  • NO jumping outside of a lesson unless approved by trainer.

  • Treats may only be given with prior permission.

  • Clean up after your horse and yourself. There are trash containers, shovels, brooms and muck buckets available for the disposal of manure, shredded hair, hoof cleanings.

  • If you don’t do it at home….don’t do it at the barn. Common sense and courtesy at all times!

3. Tuition.

  1. Our monthly tuition price is based on the annual value.  Client will put a credit or debit card on file, and it will be automatically charged $__432__tuition per month-if client own or leases their own horse.  If client does not own or lease their own horse- they can get access to our lesson horse pool for an additional $__150__ per month. Charges will  begin on the first day of enrollment and continue every month thereafter.  If client needs to change the credit card on file, please call 865-424-6858 and leave the new credit card number, expiration date, and CVC on the voicemail.

  2. Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC will be operating on a quarterly basis.  Students will be considered to be enrolled for the entire following quarter if we do not receive notice that you wish to cancel prior to the 1st day of the last month of the quarter.  Jan-Feb-Mar- is considered Q1.   April-May-June is considered Q2.  July-Aug-Sep is Q3 . And Oct-Nov-Dec is Q4.   So if you do not let us know in writing prior to March 1st- then you are automatically enrolled for all of Q2.  We have obscene expenses and financial commitments to be able to offer this program- and we depend on students who can make some commitment- as well as give us plenty of notice if they are quitting so that we have time to pull students in from the waiting list to take their place.  There is no reason why a student will not be financially committed for the entire quarter, even if they are unable to make it to classes.  Example:  A student enrolls July 1st.  They get sick and cannot ride for 3 months.  They still have to pay for July, August, and September- even though they cannot ride.

4. Scheduling.

  1. Client will receive a dedicated time and a day of the week where there will be an appropriate school horse and with a group of riders with similar ability reserved each week.  Please remember that Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC will be closed 5-6 weeks per year.

  2. If client cannot make their time during a week- Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC will allow a maximum of one makeup lesson per month- provided that client cancels by texting 865-621-0073 at least twenty four hours prior to the lesson.  All makeup lessons will take place two times per month and will be communicated via text and the client Facebook group.   If a lesson is not made up within 30 days it will expire.  Monthly tuition is still due in full when the student misses their lessons.  In the event that the weather prevents riding- unmounted horsemanship lessons will be substituted.  In the event that weather prevents the barn from being open- video analysis of your riding will be done via zoom at your regular riding time.  The best way to get the most value out of the program is to make it a priority and a commitment not to miss your dedicated lesson time(s).

  3.  If client would like to make a long-term change to their dedicated lesson time, they may do so a maximum of 1 time in a 90 day period by calling or texting 865-424-6858 and leaving a voicemail.

5. Cancellation. If a student wishes to cancel this agreement they MUST let us know prior to the 1st day of the last month of the current quarter. So, if you do not let us know in writing prior to March 1st- then you are automatically enrolled for all of Q2. For first time students, this agreement may be canceled within one week of signing and incur the early cancellation fee of $200. Cancellations after the first week of the quarter will be enrolled through the end of the quarter. Clients will be continually re-enrolled at their current upfront/monthly rate until Weeping Willow Miniatures, LLC is contacted via email or text message (weepingwillowminisllc@yahoo.com; 865-424-6858) and the payment plan is updated. The monthly calendar is upon request.

8. No Guarantee. Stable does not warrant or guarantee any specific level of performance or results. The results of your riding program are largely based on the Student’s efforts.

9. Communications.

  1. Please note that instructors do not have time to discuss client goals and concerns during lesson hours.  Please schedule a goal setting meeting to make sure there is a good time set aside for these conversations.

  2. Client agrees to communicate all scheduling changes or any other concerns about the program either through texting the barn telephone at 865-424-6858 or email weepingwillowminisllc@yahoo.com  All non-emergency communications shall be between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday.

In the event such parties are sued, the student and parent/guardian agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from all claims and damages including legal costs and attorney’s fees to such lawsuits.

Warning-Under Tennessee law, an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to the Tennessee Code Annotate, title 44, chapter 20.
